Do You Believe In Angels?
August 11th, 2008 | by Karla |Last week I got a call that all moms don’t want to get. It was my daughter, Joey, and she was crying uncontrollably. I knew something was wrong. Just before she called me, I was riding home from work, having a really good pity party. I’m sure you’ve never done that? When my phone rang, I figured she was calling me to tell me that she had arrived at her friend’s house in Georgia. That went out the window as soon as I heard her voice. She quickly told me that she had had a wreck.
“Calm down. It’s ok. You are alive. Is anyone hurt? Just calm down.” It isn’t a very good feeling to know your child has had a wreck hundreds of miles away from you, so I quickly prayed that God would help her…and just as quickly, my pity party ended.
As we are talking, I heard a sweet ladies voice say, “It’s ok. Are you hurt? Calm down, it’s ok.” I figured it was the person she had hit, but I was wrong. It was a lady that worked close by and she had come out to check on Joey.
Several phone calls and conversations later I learned that this lady had stayed with Joey through the entire ordeal. She helped her deal with the person she hit. She helped her with the police. She stood right by her side…as if it were HER daughter…and totally took care of Joey.
Looking back, I believe God had a huge part in putting that lady at just the right place, at just the right time, just exactly who Joey needed in her moment of crisis. I’ll never meet her, but in my mind and in my heart, she was an angel sent from God.
Angels. This lady might not have been one, but I do believe angels exist.
Do you believe in angels?

I’m glad Joey’s ok. Yes, I do believe in Angels, and yes I do believe some of them live here on earth as real people.

I certainly do believe in Angels. One thing is for certain . . . God sent her to help Joey. How traumatic for both of you! I can’t imagine. That God! He’s got people everywhere!
