Television has left me yawning these past few months. Tonight I put the yawns on the shelf and enjoyed my first episode of Hopkins. Since I love all things medical, I consider the show a big hit.

My niece Candace is in a Critical Care Unit at a hospital in Louisiana with ARDS. That's Acute Respiratory Disease Syndrome. She's 17 years old. Just graduated from high school, headed for nursing school.
